I called to have a quote done for my mare and their service spiraled down from there. My initial call started with "I'd like to schedule an appointment for my equine". She said "absolutely" took my info and said they'd call or email with a price. The next day I received a call and she informed me they wouldn't help me because of my name calling. I was very confused as I am always very polite and use manners. I informed her she must have the wrong person and apologized. She told me to "stop playing games". I literally had no idea what she was talking about. She informed me I had called the vet (whom I have no idea who the vet even is) a "queen". I was absolutely baffled and apologized and said she must have misheard me. She told me they wouldn't allow me to be a customer there. I continued to explain I would NEVER hurt someone by calling them names of the sort. She told me I was "playing games" and to go elsewhere. I emailed and apologized to the DVM (still don't know who it even was) that I was so sorry for the mix up and even though I didn't do anything I felt horrible that someone could have possibly been hurt from what was misunderstood. The lady I spoke to was absolutely the rudest person I have come across in quite awhile. She had zero understanding and no people skills what so ever. I think out of this whole situation my feelings are hurt more than anyone there. Again, if I did hurt someone's feeling it was absolutely unintentional and apologize again. But I absolutely would not recommend anyone having to deal with a place that has so little understanding for a human error and understanding.
So after trying to get my Zoey in with her normal vet clinic but they were all booked up and clearly unable to recognize the urgency to see her with her sprained leg, I felt I had to turn to a different veterinary clinic for help.
Always ftiendly and they really care about the animals. They never rush you and answer every single question and provide so much useful information. Ive been using this vet clinic for almost a year now and i LOVE them! I recommend them to everyone!
I have definitely found the vet clinic I will use!!
So at 9am this morning I brought Zoey in.... and the nurse/vet tech (Nasiya), who brought us into the exam room has such a beautiful & friendly smiling face, she was so patient and understanding with my shy Zoey girl. She was so great. And then Dr.Sue came in and she as well was amazing!! She didn't immediately request or require x-rays just to get more money out of me like I believe a lot of other vet clinics do, she took the time to really examine her leg with care and eventually narrowed it down to a sprained elbow, most likely not a fracture, so she put my doggie on 2weeks of anti-inflammatory/pain meds and lots of rest. If it doesn't get better in 2wks she will see her back again. Perfect. They were just so patient, kind and compassionate with my Zoey. I just cannot say enough about all of them, they are all so knowledgeable you can just tell that they all have so much care in their hearts for animals. Even Maggie, the receptionist, was the absolute sweetest. Oh yeah, also I cannot emphasize enough how AFFORDABLE Seymour Veterinary Hospital is!! Oh my. It is such a relief to not feel like you are being raked thru the coals for every dollar you have just to get proper care for your pets. There are so many people out there with pets that simply do not get them the proper care, vaccines, etc. because they can't afford it, I would refer every one of those people to give this clinic a try. So from my first phone call to them all the way thru to the appointment and then the front desk check-out it was all good, five-stars, two-thumbs up!! I am so thankful that our normal vet clinic wouldn't take the time to get us in because now I have found a NEW veterinary for my pets. Thank you so much for everything and I will also definitely be referring all of my family and friends to the Seymour Veterinary Hospital!!
So I called the Seymour Veterinary Hospital and the lady who answered the phone (Kay) was very friendly and willing to work with me and my schedule to get my Zoey in to get her seen. They were all booked up as well but they were willing to have me just drop her off and squeeze her in between appointments throughout the day to get her checked out. So I was just going to drop her off. But then they called me back a little while later saying that there was a cancellation so they could get her in for the 9am time slot that I needed. Perfect!
I have been let down 2 times with this place. I have had our dog brake her tail and was told I would have to make an appointment and they didn't have any openings until next day late afternoon. I guess a broken tail has no priorities. Then just today called out our very sick cat who needs to been seen because cat has not beens eating, drinking, or use of litter box. Was told again that need to make appointment and didn't have openings until Saturday. And then proceeded to tell me that our cat may not live that long. Well dam if a hospital or clinics told patients that we would all be dying. I guess a very sick animals are not this clinics high priority. Only animals that have appointments are priority to them. Forget about the pet owners when it comes to needing our pets emergency.
